I knew from the minute I saw you
I knew with all my heart I'd adore you
I can't find the right words
to explain again and again
I knew from the minute I saw you
I'd be the one to watch you leave
and never come back again
to dream of the start while
I'm living inside the end
you either have the mercy left to stay
or the longing to run
It's good to watch you leave
and never come back again
I knew from the minute you kissed me
I felt your hand reminisce in mine
I didn't know a goodnight
could be a final goodbye
but I saw it in the weight of your footstep
I saw it in the tremble of your breath
I'd be the one to watch you leave
and never come back again
to dream of the start while
I'm living inside the end
you either have the mercy left to stay
or the longing to run
It's good to watch you leave
and never come back again
time will tell me how much I can take
the arms around me are like my end of days
time will tell me how much I can take
I'll stay here
and be the one to watch you leave
and never come back again
to dream of the start while
I'm living inside the end
you either have the mercy left to stay
or the longing to run
It's good to watch you leave
and never come back again
leave and never come back again
Rough-edged synth pop with nice female vocals by Sydney Banta that is 1980's new wave like Yaz and 2000's retro like Ladyhawke and La Roux. Compared with more recent acts, it's not as smooth as Class Actress but not as harsh as Light Asylum. Art Fin
I played this album at the coffee shop I work at once and 3 people walked up to the counter to ask what we were playing and how they could get a copy. Call me crazy, but I'd say that's a pretty solid endorsement. I personally give it 6 out of 5 stars. Mick
